How to show off your card collection on Instagram
Updated 2026-10-26
The collector accounts that grow have a few things in common: clean photos, a consistent look and regular posts.
Pick a look
Use the same background and layout for most posts. People recognize your posts in their feed before they read your name.
Mix the formats
- Single slab posts for your best cards.
- Three slabs in one image for sets, pulls or a theme.
- Carousels for a full run or a before and after of a grade.
- Short videos of the slab tilting in the light, which show off the holo.
Post on a schedule
Two or three times a week is enough. Regular posts matter more than daily posts you can't keep up.
Talk to other collectors
Comment on other collectors' pulls and grades. The hobby is small, and most accounts grow through other collectors, not hashtags.
Use hashtags sparingly
A few specific ones work better than thirty generic ones. Try the character or player, the set, the grader and the grade.
Make posts fast
Grailshot turns a phone photo into a finished post in under a minute, so the hard part is only choosing which card to post.
